A member of the Whitestown Town Board is arrested in Boone County on suspicion of drunk driving.
Early Thursday morning, Whitestown police pulled over 42-year-old Dawn Semmler on State Road 267 on a traffic violation.
The investigation was then taken over by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office after officers determined Semmler was a town board member.
Deputies suspected Semmler was under the influence of alcohol and conducted a chemical breath test. That test found a breath alcohol level of point-one-one.
She was booked into the Boone County Jail for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Officials say Semmler was cooperative throughout the entire investigation.
