CARROLL CO., Ind. (WLFI) – Snow and poor road conditions are being partially blamed for a crash in Carroll County which killed a North Carolina man this weekend.

Sheriff’s deputies said it happened Saturday night shortly before 8 p.m on State Road 39, about seven miles south of Delphi.

Investigators said Louise Vazquez, 21, of Frankfort was driving south on 39 when she went left of center and hit a car head on driven by 65-year-old Raford Timothy Daniel of Salisbury, North Carolina.

Deputies said Vazquez was driving too fast for road conditions.

Daniel died as a result of internal injuries sustained in the wreck.

Carroll County was under a Level 1 Travel Advisory at the time of the crash.

Deputies do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
