WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The names have been released after a fatal shooting on the campus of Purdue University.
Purdue Police Chief John Cox said they have arrested Purdue student Cody Cousins, 23, in connection with the fatal shooting.
Cousins is being held in the Tippecanoe County Jail. The jail said he was booked into the jail on a preliminary charge of murder. There is no bond set.
West Lafayette Police Chief Jason Dombkowski said a search warrant has been issued on Cousins’ property. He said he has a prior arrest.
Cox said the victim was Andrew Boldt, 21, a teaching assistant at Purdue University from West Bend, Wisc.
Dombkowski said the investigation is ongoing.
