ISP releases meth lab numbers from 2013

In 2013, more than 1,800 methamphetamine labs were seized in Indiana. Indiana State Police said at least 458 children were around these labs.

The State Police Meth Suppression Section has released the 2013 state-wide lab seizure report.

Indiana State Police discovered 1,721 labs, which is an increase of 58 labs from 2012 and 358 from 2011.

The total for state-wide clandestine lab incidents was 1,808. In 1995, that number was only six.

In 2013, 458 children were found in a lab environment, which is up by 70 from 2012.
