TIPPECANOE Co., Ind. (WLFI) – District 4 Congressional Candidate Tara Nelson announces she will withdraw from this year’s election. Nelson said she is withdrawing due to personal family reasons.

In October 2013, Nelson filed paperwork to run against incumbent U.S. Representative Todd Rokita.

As News 18 previously reported, Nelson ran against Rokita in 2012 and brought in 32 percent of the vote.

That currently leaves one Democrat in the race for Congress in District 4.

John Dale, of Tippecanoe County, announced his intention to run in November of last year. Dale is a wrestling coach at Southwestern Middle School.
