WHITE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – White County wants to inspire leaders. Leadership White County is in the third week of its eight week course.

More than 20 participants met Wednesday afternoon at First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. They meet once a week to discuss various topics about leadership.

This week’s focus was on tourism, local government and current county issues.

Leadership White County co- chair Denise Schroeder said this year’s participants have bonded well.

“We’ve got a really good group this year. They’re very dynamic. We noticed that the first week when we started at the hospital that they’re all very dynamic and very involved with each other really quickly. Some years it takes the group a little while to gel. This group seem to gel the first session,” said Schroeder.

The group will meet Feb. 5 at Federated Church in Brookston, where the focus will be on conflict management.
