WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – It’s one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants and local businesses have started preparation for Super Bowl Sunday.

As of Thursday, HotBox Pizza in West Lafayette has received several catering orders. On a normal Sunday they make 200 to 250 pizzas. That number will nearly double on Sunday.

General Manager Deb Newcomer said they have already started making pizza dough and sauce.

While it will be busy, Newcomer said customers shouldn’t be worried about long waits.

“It’s something that we’ve already planned for. We don’t anticipate and try not to have someone wait long. That’s why we staff heavier. That’s why we have more drivers, so they get the same delivery time that they would any other day,” said Newcomer.

Newcomer said Sunday will be an early day for HotBox staff. They will use that time to coordinate orders and delivery routes.
