TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Tippecanoe County sheriff’s deputies were investigating a shooting on the western side of the county Thursday night.

Sheriff Tracy Brown told News 18 that the 911 call came in at 8:43. He said when deputies arrived, they found a man dead of an apparent gunshot wound at a home on Farmstead Lane, an address off CR 400 West, about a mile south of U.S. 52.

Brown said a woman was taken to IU Health Arnett Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to her lower body. He said she was stable as of late Thursday night.

Brown said detectives were working to put together the pieces.

“It is coming in and literally taking all the pieces to the puzzle, the physical evidence that’s at the scene and piecing that together to make sure that that matches statements and information given to us,” said Brown.

Brown said the man and woman were the only ones inside the home at the time. He confirmed it was a domestic issue.

No other details are being released at this time while detectives continue to investigate.
