TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A Tippecanoe County judge is looking to move courtrooms.

Superior Court 5 Judge Les Meade announced Thursday he will run for Circuit Court Judge. Meade has served as Superior 5 judge since 2002 and was an attorney for 25 years before that.

He said he has the broad range of experience that makes him the best candidate for Circuit Court. It’s a courtroom that oversees a wide variety of cases, everything from real estate to paternity cases.

“I’ve seen too many judges after 12 years sort of phone it in from there. I’m not interested. I would like to have a new challenge and offer those skills to the community,” said Meade.

Current Circuit Court Judge Don Daniel told News 18 Thursday he is not going to be running again and had no other comment at this time. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
