Multiple crews work to extinguish house fire


TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Multiple crews were on the scene of a house fire in southern Tippecanoe County Wednesday night.

Firefighters said it started just before 10 p.m. at 9004 Commercial Drive. When crews arrived, the first floor of the home was engulfed.

The homeowner was taking a shower when the fire started, but made it out of the house without any injuries.

As of 12:15 Thursday morning, crews were still working to extinguish hot spots. The house has been ruled as a total loss.

Firefighters from Lauramie Township, Wea Township, Randolph Township, and Clarks Hill Fire Departments were on the scene.
