Sinkhole slows traffic on Sagamore Parkway

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – On Saturday afternoon, a sinkhole slowed traffic for drivers headed north on Sagamore Parkway.

The sinkhole closed the right lane of northbound Sagamore Parkway, right before the intersection of South Street just after 12:30 p.m. Lafayette City Water Works crews were able to fix the hole by 3 p.m. allowing traffic flow to return to normal.

The cause of the sinkhole is unknown at this time.
