Possible break-in on Lafayette’s south side

TIPPECANOE CO., (WLFI) – The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible break-in at a home on Lafayette’s south side.

Just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, deputies got a call of a suspicious person at a home near Old Romney Road.

When crews arrived on scene, no individual was found, but deputies said there were signs of forced entry into the residence.

Authorities said several minutes later, two people were found in the woods nearby and taken into custody for questioning.

No further details are known at this time. Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
