FOWLER, Ind. (WLFI) – Treacherous roads meant a busy night for grocery stores throughout the area.
At the Fowler IGA, employees said it was two to three times busier than a typical Tuesday night, with an especially large rush late in the afternoon.
Fowler resident Brad Shultz, a father of four kids ages 9 through 18, was one of those stocking up.
“They say winds are supposed to be high tomorrow. I’m worried about drifting. So, I just went ahead and got my stuff. I don’t like to have to run out and back, out and back, because I have little kids at home,” said Shultz.
Shultz said even though he lives in town, after the last storm, he still had to shovel himself out of some drifts that were four feet deep.
