WEST LAFAYETTE,  Ind. (WLFI) – Purdue University announced classes will be delayed until 1 p.m Wednesday. That means all classes prior to 1 p.m. are canceled.

In a press release, the university also announced essential personnel need to report to campus before 1 p.m. Wednesday. All operations, including classes, will return to normal status beginning at 1 p.m.

Students are still encouraged to watch for messages from instructors regarding the status of individual class sessions.

Purdue also said employees who determine their individual situation makes travel to work unsafe can use paid or unpaid leave if they are unable to report for campus duty.

Faculty, staff and students should follow the Purdue homepage for further decisions on operational status.
