Hoosier Heartland crash sends two to hospital

CARROLL COUNTY (WLFI) – Two people were sent to hospital early Thursday evening after a semi trailer crushed part of their vehicle on the Hoosier Heartland Corridor.

Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies say both vehicles were headed north a little after 6 p.m., just north of Delphi.

Investigators say as the semi driver tried to turn around at State Road 218, he drove into the car which got caught under the trailer.

“It appears the semi driver didn’t see the passenger car in the fast lane before he made his wide turn,” said Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Giancola.

Two people in the car were taken to Logansport Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
