LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A group in Lafayette is working to get unemployed white-collared men and women on their feet and back into the job market.

The non-profit organization is called Members of Business and Professional Exchange, or BPE.

Members receive help with resume material, help with the job search and are provided with networking tools.

Lafayette Chapter President, Chris Waymire, said the membership fee for six months is $30.

“We will get you business cards. We’ll get you professional resume help and we’ll give you support during this period of job transition,” Waymire explained. “So there is a lot of advantage of being connected. We want to make sure that we get as many people as we can connected to us.”

The Lafayette chapter meets every Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Community Center near State Road 26 in Lafayette.
