LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A semi truck loses its load causing Lafayette police to block off one eastbound lane.

Lafayette police received the call around 9:30 a.m. after a semi carrying lumber lost part of its load. Police said for some reason the straps carrying the lumber loosened causing the load to fall on one eastbound lane and into the median.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Lafayette Street Department was called to move the rest of the lumber on the road into the median.

Police said the trucking company transporting the load has sent a crew to remove the pile. Lafayette Police will continue to keep one lane blocked off until it is removed.
