LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Three men have been arrested in connection to Thursday’s early morning armed robbery in Lafayette.

Police were called to the 2500 block of Eckman Drive, just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday. They said three men forced their way into a pregnant woman’s apartment and got away with a safe box and a Playstation unit.

LPD confirms they have arrested 21-year-old Cortez Collins, 23-year-old Lawrence Anderson, and 20-year-old Jaaz Jones all from Gary, Ind. All three men face preliminary charges of burglary causing injury and robbery with a deadly weapon.

Police said the robbery was drug-related and not a random act.

The woman was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Police said she was treated and has since been released.
