Fatal fire victim’s name released

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the victim in Sunday morning’s fatal fire in West Lafayette.

The victim of the fire has been identified as 60-year-old Beverly Mason-Williams.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. Sunday at her home in the 100 block of Prophet Drive in West Lafayette. Officers report when crews arrived they saw the front part of the home engulfed in flames.

The investigation continues into the cause of the fire. The manner of Mason-Williams’ death is pending until autopsy reports are analyzed.
