LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Mardi Gras is coming to Lafayette courtesy of the Lafayette Breakfast Optimist Club. The club will hold its 11th annual Fat Tuesday dinner party on March 4.

The dinner is a fundraiser for the club’s teacher grant program. It’s a supplemental funding program for local teachers. Teachers apply for grants and applicants who are chosen receive money to be used for anything from supplies to field trips.

The dinner is Tuesday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at The Outpost on 2501 Old 231 South. It costs $40 per person. For registration information, head to the Breakfast Optimist website.
