TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – The Department of Natural Resources’ approval of a proposed stone quarry in Tippecanoe County is being appealed.

Kevin Schnepp filed an appeal with the Natural Resources Commission, which is a board that oversees DNR issues.

As News 18 has already reported, DNR approved the quarry proposed by the Rogers Group in January with a location off Old State Road 25, just north of Americus.

A pre-hearing conference has been set for March 12 in Indianapolis.

The proposed quarry is set to go before the Board of Zoning Appeals in June.
