Emily Denhart, Central Catholic fall at semi-state

CROWN POINT, Ind. (WLFI) – Oregon-Davis punched its ticket to the Class A State Championship game for the 2nd time in school history on Saturday.

Alicia McIntosh led Oregon-Davis with 18 points and Ashley Campbell added 15 for the No. 1 ranked team in Class A.

Oregon-Davis jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the 1st quarter before Central Catholic pulled to within one heading into the second quarter. The Cats used an 8-0 run to extend the lead to 32-26 at the half.

The Knights responded in the second half by scoring first to begin the 3rd quarter and pull within 3, but it was all Oregon-Davis from there. The Cats pushed the lead to 12 after three on their way to a 19 point victory.

The Bobcats will face Vincennes Rivet at 10:30 next Saturday in Terre Haute.
