INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) The NFL’s franchise tag deadline has come and gone, and the Colts have chosen not to tag any of its players.  This means they will now rely on long-term deals to keep their free agent stars in house.

Colts’ cornerback Vontae Davis was the most likely option for the franchise tag.  That, however, would’ve cost the Colts approximately $11.8 million.

The Colts still have a little over a week to work out long-term deals with their free agents.  Those contracts expire March 11. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
