Deputies closed U.S. 231 South, from County Road 500 South to County Road 800 South, due to the incident. Deputies re-opened the road at 12:45 p.m.

Deputies said a man was driving a dump truck northbound on U.S. 231, near 600 South, when he lost control of the truck. They said he then struck a gas line and several utility poles. The gas line has since been turned off.

Emergency crews worked for more than one hour to remove the man from the vehicle. Deputies confirm he was alert and responsive.
