Wolf Park holds free open house


LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Residents gathered at Wolf Park Saturday afternoon for a free open house.

Visitors were able to learn more about the wolves thanks to an education center.

The Park also introduced a Young Naturalist program, which will be open to youth ages 6 to 17. Students will put in four to six service hours a month to learn the behind the scenes processes of taking care of animals and more about wildlife.

“This will give them a good chance and a good start before they actually go off to college, or anything like that, to see if that’s what they’re interested in.” said Dana Drenzek, manager of Wolf Park of the program.

Applications for the program will be posted on the Wolf Park website later this month.
