Lafayette Spinners prepare for this week’s fundraiser game

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – March is Disability Awareness Month in Indiana, and the Lafayette Spinners Wheelchair Basketball Team and the Wabash Center want to raise awareness.

Monday morning, Richard Wagoner and Corporal Matt Bowman appeared on News 18 This Morning morning. Both men are involved with the Lafayette Spinners and will play in a fundraiser basketball game Friday, March 14.

Tip-off will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Community Center on State Road 26 in Lafayette. Tickets to the game cost $5 per person or $10 per family.

During halftime, Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski and his staff will scrimmage West Lafayette Mayor John Dennis and his staff.

On Tuesday, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., 10 percent of sales at Arni’s Market Square will be donated to the Lafayette Spinners.
