WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Indiana State Police said they have handled several slide-offs along Interstate 65 Wednesday.
Troopers said most of the slide-offs and crashes have occurred in White County. None of the crashes resulted in serious injuries.
Sgt. Kim Riley said low visibility and high winds caused the most problems for drivers Wednesday. However, he said traffic was smooth and drivers were being cautious.
“It’s just been kind of normal. People have slowed down. I think it’s towards the end of the season. We’re hoping this is our last big snow blast. Maybe after all these months, they finally learn that if they slow down, they get where they’re going,” said Riley.
Road crews were able to clear off most Interstate 65, but Riley said driving conditions could be a problem Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
