Further info released on Reynolds house fire

REYNOLDS, Ind. (WLFI) – Investigators released further information on a house fire in Reynolds that sent one person to the hospital Wednesday.

Reynolds Fire Department said the fire that occurred at 320 Wayne Street killed two dogs and started in the home’s kitchen.

According to Reynolds Fire Chief Chad Dahlenburg, their investigation shows the fire started in the kitchen and it was likely electrical in nature. However, Dahlenburg said the exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

Firefighters on scene told News 18 one man was taken to IU White Memorial Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. Dahlenburg said two dogs that were inside the home died as a result of the fire.

It took crews more than two hours to put out the fire.
