Lafayette man sentenced for robbing neighbors

TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – A Lafayette man will spend six years behind bars after police said he broke into his neighbor’s apartment.

William Fuqua, 36, told police he went into his neighbor’s home to borrow some sugar, but police said he walked out with electronics and prescription medicines.

Fuqua told police he stole prescription medications a few weeks before his arrest while using the restroom at the same neighbor’s house.

He was sentenced to six years behind bars and another six years on probation.
