LPD releases victim’s name in Thursday night’s shooting


LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Police release the name of the victim involved in Thursday night’s shooting.

Police arrived at the 2100 block of Hiawatha Lane just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday. That’s where they found Jahmal Moore, 35, with two gunshot wounds.

Police said the suspected shooters came to Moore’s front door, went inside and shot him.

Moore was taken to IU Health and later interviewed by an officer. He has since been treated and released.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and they are continuing to look for the persons involved.
