WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A free tablet app that helps non-verbal children releases a new user friendly version.
In January, SPEAK MODalities released two new versions of its SPEAKall! app on iTunes.
The app has about 100 new downloads a week and has received positive reviews.
SPEAK MODalities CEO Mike Zentner said it feels good to have a popular app that can help children with Autism or developmental disabilities.
“I got very interested in this project because I saw the results of seeing these children with autism that couldn’t speak and four months later, they were forming sentences — small sentences — and to me, that’s the most satisfying part of any kind of commercialization project,” said Zentner.
The newest apps are more user friendly and have more features than the original.
One is priced at $24.99. While the other app, which is geared towards therapists, is $39.99.
