BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana basketball did not receive an invitation to the National Invitational Tournament, meaning their disappointing season comes to an official end.

The Hoosiers elected not to play in the pay-to-play College Basketball Invitational.

“We would have loved to be able to keep playing,” IU head basketball coach Tom Crean tweeted afterwards. “Our determination and confidence was high. Our desire to improve has been strong.”

Indiana State, meanwhile, did make the NIT.  They will play Arkansas on Tuesday at 9 p.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
