Police: Two killed in Boone County crash

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Boone County Sheriff’s Office say officers responded to a fatal crash early Sunday morning.

According to sheriff’s office, an anonymous caller dialed 911 after coming across the scene of the crash near 1600 West and 800 North around 1 a.m. Two people were later found dead inside a vehicle.

The victims were later identified as Jacob Shockley and Richard Penny Jr, both 18 years old.

The sheriff’s office is still working to determine the speed of the car and if alcohol was involved.
