TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – Tippecanoe County Commissioners approved polling locations for the 2014 Primary Election.

Commissioners unanimously approved the satellite absentee voting locations, early voting locations, and the Election Day vote center locations to be used this year.

Board of Elections Co-director Jared Bond said the early voting sites are consistent with what has been used in the past during mid-term elections. He said the Election Day sites are also consistent, but with two exceptions.

Tippecanoe County will no longer be using the Brady Lane Church of Christ, but instead will use the Eagle Lodge at 18th and Brady. He said this site is still on a CityBus route, if transportation is needed.

In addition, the county will no longer use the Covenant Presbyterian Church on Knox Drive in West Lafayette, but will instead use the Old Burtsfield Gymnasium at Lindberg and Salisbury.

Bond said the Old Burtsfield Gym has a larger area for voting and a larger parking lot.

According to Bond, both of the new sites are ADA compliant, as are all of the voting sites.

All voting sites were unanimously approved by the bipartisan Tippecanoe County Election Board.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 6. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
