One dead, four taken to hospital in early morning crash

WHITE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – An Illinois woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash on Interstate 65 Thursday morning.

White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer said they received a call at about 3:35 a.m. of a crash at mile marker 188 near the Brookston exit.

He said a semi and a Honda Civic driving southbound crashed for an unknown reason.

Shafer said a female passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

He said the driver and two other passengers in the car, and the driver of the semi, were all taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

No names have been released.
