LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Governor Mike Pence signed into law Thursday a bill that will fund up to $400 million of road projects.

As News 18 reported earlier this month, the General Assembly passed a measure that allocates $200 million for immediate projects including additional lanes on I-65 and I-70.

The state can spend another $200 million after the Budget Committee reviews revenue forecasts at the end of the year.

According to the governor’s office, the money will create an estimated 9,800 jobs.
