Boilers give back

WEST LAFAYETE, Ind. (WLFI) – The Purdue football team traded their pads and helmets for hairnets and aprons Friday afternoon.

The Boilers took time out of their schedule for a good cause at Food Finders Food Bank. They were busy scooping, bagging and packaging boxes of cereal.

“I think it’s good for our guys to understand how people out there need help, and that we can be a part of that. To be able to go out and help these guys, it shows our guys when they get here as well as a team,” said Purdue head football coach Darell Hazell.

The food bank provides food to local agencies in 16 counties throughout Central Indiana.
