WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Purdue University guard Courtney Moses, from Sweetser, Ind. and Oak Hill High School, will participate in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.
Intersport made the announcement Friday. The 26th annual event at 8 p.m. CT April 3 at Moody Coliseum on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, features 24 of college basketball’s top dunkers and long-range shooters.
Individual elements of the contest include: Quicken Loans Men’s 3-Point Championship, Buick Women’s 3-Point Championship, Echo Battle of the Champions and Denny’s Slam Dunk Championship.
Moses, who led Purdue in scoring with 15.5 points per contest this season, while shooting a sizzling 44.7 percent (80-for-179) from long distance, will compete in the Buick Women’s 3-Point Championship. A First Team All-Big Ten Conference selection in 2013-14, the 5-foot-6 guard closed out her storied career ranked 11th in Big Ten annals and first all-time in Purdue history with 240 threes. The sharp-shooter, who totaled 11 games with six or more three-point field goals in her career, set a NCAA Tournament record in 2012 by draining nine treys versus South Dakota State.
