WHITE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – A Brookston man was arrested after a crash that sent a Monticello man to the hospital.

The wreck happened on County Road 300 East around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Sheriff Pat Shafer said dispatchers took a call about an impaired driver. During the call, he said the driver collided with a silver car driving in the opposite direction.

Shafer said the driver of the silver car, Dustin Scheller, 32, was taken to Franciscan Saint Elizabeth East in Lafayette where officials said he is in fair condition.

Sheriff Shafer said Mitchell Eads, 31, of Brookston, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.  As of Friday night, Eads is being held at the White County Jail.
