WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A West Lafayette Yoga Studio is lending a helping paw to area animals.

M Power Yoga is giving a free hot yoga class Saturday morning to help raise awareness on spay and neuter programs. Those attending will be asked to give a donation, which will benefit North Central Indiana Spay and Neuter located in Battle Ground.

The money donated allows the organization to provide spay and neutering at a low cost to pet owners. Studio owner Marcia Schaller is a dog lover and wants to help the cause.

“People will sweat. People might complain a little, but they will enjoy themselves,” said Schaller. “They will feel great when they get out, and it’s for a good cause.”

The class begins at 9 a.m. and Schaller hopes to fill the studio. But she said space is limited, so arrive early to sign up.

She also advises people to hydrate before the class because room temperatures can reach 100 degrees during “Hot Yoga.” This event was organized by Purdue’s Helping Paws club.
