INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The 2014-2015 Colts Cheerleading squad was revealed Thursday night at the Hilbert Circle Theatre. Amongst those chosen on the new roster, is a soon-to-be Purdue graduate and Captain of the Golduster Dance Team, Brookelyn Ebeyer.

Auditions took place at Hilbert Circle, as well as Lucas Oil Stadium, over a duration of two weeks. More than 150 candidates were whittled down to 48 finalists, who performed at Thursday night’s showcase.

From that group of 48 finalists, the new squad of 26 members was chosen. Click here to meet the new squad.

Ebeyer was one of those awarded a spot as a Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader for the 2014 National Football League season.

Susan Xioufaridou, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Purdue University, reports that auditions included a pre-audition online voting, photography tests, football game knowledge test, interview and public relations skills, fitness, choreography and dance performance, and precision in routines.

Xioufaridou told News 18, that Ebeyer has been a member of the Purdue University “All-American” Marching Band Golduster Dance Team for four years and current team captain. She will graduate from Purdue’s College of Education in May 2014 with a 3.80 GPA and was named the Outstanding English Education Senior. The summer of 2013, Brookelyn studied abroad in London, England.

Brookelyn is from Indianapolis and graduated from Franklin Central High School in 2010. She has an extensive background in dance instruction and cheered all four years of high school.

But cheering will not be everything, Brookelyn said she wants to find a job with her newly finished degree.

Brookelyn said is confident that she will gain a position teaching middle or high school students in the Indianapolis area while performing with the Colts Cheerleaders.

In addition, there is another Purdue graduate on the roster. Kaiti Cooper graduated from Purdue in May 2013, where was a member of Alpha Phi and the Golduster Dance Team. She was also a Biology Teaching Assistant. She is currently pursuing a career in event planning.
