West Lafayette Public Library book fair continues

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) –  The West Lafayette Friends of the Library Book Fair continued Saturday with thousands of books and other items, such as games and movies, on sale at the West Lafayette Public Library.

Activities such as book signings and a bake sale were part of this year’s event. All of the items were donated to the library over the past six months. Proceeds go to support reading programs and purchasing new books for the library.

“This has been going on for as long as the library’s been around. This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the library (and) this is how we get a lot of our funding to buy books,” said Adult and Teen Services librarian Erica Brown.

The sale continues through the week with a half-off sale on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, prices are $3 a bag from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the remaining days through Friday, are $1 a bag.
