WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The filing cabinet is not the first thing that comes to mind when spring cleaning is mentioned, but do not forget about it so easily. Go through those old documents and take them to be securely disposed of at the fifth annual Community Shred Day.

Organizers said the public is invited to bring old bills, tax forms and other paper documents to be securely and professionally shredded. Services are free and there is no limit on the amount brought to be destroyed. Additionally, it is not necessary to remove staples and paper clips from papers.

Purdue Federal Credit Union will host the Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the Union Street Branch, located at 1520 Union Street, in Lafayette.

If you would like further information on Community Shred Day, head to the Purdue Federal website.
