LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A landmark in Lafayette has come down.

Crews began demolition of The Pub, located at Fourth & Union streets. Owner Paul Baldwin said he bought The Pub in 2012 and the building has been a bar since the 1940s. He said the bar has been closed for more than three years.

Baldwin said The Pub location will become a parking lot for a new bar that is currently in planning stages.
