LPD investigates armed robbery at Sixth and Union

Armed Robbery at 6th and Union in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police responded to a reported armed robbery at the area of Sixth and Union streets around 2:30 Monday morning.

According to LPD’s press release, the victim said he was approached by a male around 5-feet-10-inches and 160 pounds. He was said to have a dark complexion and wearing dark clothing and a ski mask over his face. The suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet.

The victim complied with the demands. The suspect fled northbound from the scene on foot.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate anyone matching the description.
