WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The Purdue Alumni Association is bidding farewell to seniors graduating this spring and summer.

Nearly 2,000 students stopped by the Purdue Armory Wednesday for the Senior Send-Off. The event was organized by Purdue Alumni Student Experience.

It gives students the opportunity to meet alumni and stay active with the university. Seniors could also get their pictures taken, meet Purdue alumni and even get a free lunch from Subway.

Brandi Farrer, Director of Student Programs, said it’s great way to say goodbye to students and to welcome them as alumni.

“I’m not sure if they can get their picture with the train, drum and Pete anywhere else, so that makes this fun,” Farrer said. “It’s nice to see everyone together before they all leave campus.”

The Senior Send-Off is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
