Delphi jumps on Frontier early and coasts to 10-0 win

Delphi Baseball

DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) – Delphi refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Frontier, recording a 10-0 victory on Thursday at Oracle Field.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed Delphi to put the game away early.

A two-run single by Josh Gillam, a sacrifice fly by Blaine Walters, and an RBI single by Mason Lane in the first inning supplied the early offense for Delphi Community Oracles Varsity.

Mason Lane led the way at the plate as the junior racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Oracles.

Jason Sterrett got the win for Delphi thanks to 10 strikeouts. The Delphi senior tossed five innings of shutout ball and only allowed three hits. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
