Judges break from the bench to honor community member

TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – Three Tippecanoe County judges took a short break from the bench Thursday morning and honored a woman they said has changed our community.

Judges Gregory Donat, Sean Persin and Michael Morrissey honored Amy Page-Shaller for her passion and dedication to the Greater Lafayette community.

Page-Shaller is the executive director of Home With Hope in Lafayette. The organization serves as a half-way home for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.

Page-Shaller said she was honored that her hard work and dedication is being recognized.

“It’s not just me, it’s the whole staff. It’s the board of directors, it really takes a team to do what we do,” Page-Shaller said. “I appreciate everyones effort and everyone working together to make this a successful program.”

The home has been open to community members in need for more than 40 years.
