WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Klondike Middle School is recognizing students for bringing up their grades. More than 20 students were honored at a banquet at MCL Thursday afternoon.

The Bringing Up Grades program recognizes students, who have improved and maintained good grades throughout the school year.

The Kiwanis Club helped with today’s ceremony. Student counselor Christina Morales said the students have worked hard for their grades.

“They are the ones that work very hard and we care about them. We love having them in the building. They need to feel that we want them in the building and want them to succeed,” said Morales.

Each year the school recognizes a different set of students, who have improved their grades. Morales says it’s great seeing the smiles from kids. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
