House fire shuts down State Road 25

House fire in Shadeland on State Road 25.

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A home deputies said belonged to a Lafayette firefighter is left charred by an early morning fire.

Officials said, the call was made by a neighbor just after 4:30 a.m. The fire was on the 2400 block of State Road 25, near Shadeland early Friday morning.

No one was in the home at the time. One firefighter was treated on scene, but it is unclear why.

Deputies shut down State Road 25 for about three hours at County Roads 175 West and 300 South as a precaution.
